As we gathered on our office sofas to watch the 2011 F8 conference one September evening, Facebook announced some of the biggest changes to its site in its 7-year history, including a redesign of the profile page.

The new Facebook Profile (known as Timeline) included a cover – a large photo at the top of the page. We all immediately and simultaneously saw the addition of the cover as the perfect opportunity to launch an online community dedicated to the creation, discovery and sharing of covers on Facebook. The result was CoverJunction.

From beautiful scenery and gorgeous abstracts to high-res sports logos and the hottest celebrities, CoverJunction has the widest range of high quality Facebook Covers online, presented in a beautifully designed, ad-free website. Users are also able to generate unique, personalised covers from their own Facebook data, such as their most liked photos, or pictures of their top friends.

We also created a service called CoverJunction Pro, which allows brands to offer their covers to fans all from inside their Facebook page. Used by the likes of the New York Giants and Manchester City, installing this custom app to their page provides an easy and powerful way to promote their brand, engage with fans and increase likes on Facebook.
