In the autumn of 2011, we teamed up with Major League Baseball to deliver an application that allowed fans of Postseason teams to show their support on Facebook and Twitter.
Naturally, Twibbon provided the ideal platform for such an application, with 10 different logos on offer for fans to add to their Twitter and Facebook profile pictures (1 for each of the eight teams, and 2 generic icons).
With the exception of working with one of the largest sports organisation in the world, the coolest thing about the campaign was that the entire app was embedded into MLB’s website, allowing users to support their team without ever leaving MLB.com.
This seamless user experience, when coupled with the masses of baseball fans that Major League Baseball can promote to, made the campaign a huge success, with over 30,000 fans adding their team’s Twibbon even before the World Series began.
