About The Role

We are hiring an account manager to own the client operating rhythm around Storm Ideas' Creative Operations and Systems / Process Design work.

This is a high-accountability client relationship role. You will be responsible for keeping client context, stakeholder needs, open questions, risks, follow-ups, and next steps clear across work that is often messy, fast-moving, and operationally complex.

The role exists because this kind of client work fails when account knowledge lives in scattered notes, private conversations, vague update loops, or one person's head. Your job is to turn that into a clear operating rhythm that clients trust and internal teams can actually use.

You will not personally build every system. You will be expected to understand the client problem, ask sharper questions, spot weak scope, maintain account context, prepare for the right conversations, and make sure Storm is solving the right thing in the right order.

AI is not an optional productivity trick in this role. You should be actively trying to become excellent at using AI tools, reusable workflows, and account-context systems to prepare better, move faster, remember more, and give clients a sharper experience.

This is also a relationship role in the real sense. Clients should like working with you. They should feel you understand them, enjoy the conversation, trust your follow-up, and want you involved when things are unclear.

If you are looking for a relationship-only account role where someone else owns the operational detail, this is not it. If you are looking for a pure project management or builder role with limited client responsibility, this is not it either.

What You’ll Make Happen

What can you expect?

  • Own the account context for selected Creative Operations and Systems / Process Design clients: stakeholders, priorities, history, open questions, risks, decisions, and follow-ups.
  • Run the client operating rhythm so meetings, updates, actions, blockers, decisions, and handoffs do not drift or depend on memory.
  • Turn vague client requests into clear next steps, questions, owners, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Become highly capable with AI tools and workflows for account management: meeting preparation, account research, stakeholder mapping, summarisation, action tracking, client-ready drafting, QA, and reusable account memory.
  • Use AI to make your client work sharper, not just faster. The standard is better context, better questions, better follow-up, and fewer things slipping through gaps.
  • Make clients feel well looked after: clear communication, good energy, strong follow-up, useful questions, and the confidence that you are properly on top of their account.
  • Write clear client-ready summaries that make messy work understandable without overpromising or hiding uncertainty.
  • Maintain stakeholder maps, account notes, decision logs, follow-up trackers, and reusable context so Storm can manage the relationship professionally.
  • Work closely with Account Management, Creative Operations, AI Operations, and technical colleagues to keep client work moving.
  • Understand creative and operational workflows well enough to challenge weak assumptions, ask practical questions, and explain tradeoffs in plain English.
  • Spot when a client ask is really a workflow, visibility, approval, stakeholder, or operating-rhythm problem.
  • Help internal teams avoid overbuilding, underscoping, or saying yes before the client need is clear.
  • Improve the way account knowledge is captured, summarised, shared, and reused over time.

YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Demonstrable experience owning client relationships, stakeholder communication, account delivery, or complex operational conversations.
  • Strong written and spoken English. You can make a messy situation feel clear, calm, and practical.
  • High agency. You do not wait for every next step to be handed to you, but you know when to escalate early.
  • Structured thinking. You can break ambiguous work into users, inputs, outputs, owners, statuses, risks, decisions, and definitions of done.
  • A serious interest in becoming an expert at AI-enabled account management. You should already be using AI in real work and be hungry to get much better at it: tools, prompts, workflows, context packs, summaries, QA checks, and repeatable operating patterns.
  • Strong client presence. You are warm, confident, curious, responsive, and naturally good at making clients feel understood. People should like working with you, not just tolerate you because you are organised.
  • Comfortable working around workflow and collaboration tools such as Airtable, Monday.com, Notion, Asana, spreadsheets, Slack, Teams, or similar systems.
  • Enough systems/process literacy to understand what is being built, why it matters, where the risks are, and how to explain it to non-technical stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clients feel that Storm understands their priorities, stakeholders, open questions, and next steps.
  • Clients actively like working with you. They trust your judgement, enjoy your communication style, and feel calmer because you are involved.
  • You foster new opportunities and growth in existing agreements with clients.
  • Vague client asks become scoped decisions, useful follow-up questions, or clear internal action paths.
  • Account knowledge does not live in one person's head. It is captured, maintained, and easy for others to use.
  • Internal teams know what the client needs, what is blocked, who owns the next action, and what should not be promised yet.
  • Client meetings are better prepared because context, risks, decisions, and likely asks have been organised in advance.
  • AI becomes part of the account-management operating system: better prep, better memory, better summaries, better follow-up, and better visibility for internal teams and clients.
  • Storm can manage these client relationships with stronger continuity, less context loss, and less late-stage confusion.

This Role Will Suit You If

  • You like being close to clients and close to how work actually gets done.
  • You enjoy turning messy client requests into clear, practical operating steps.
  • You are comfortable being judged on client clarity, follow-through, and operating outcomes, not just effort or friendliness.
  • You can combine warmth with structure.
  • You want to use AI as part of how you prepare, document, summarise, and improve account management.
  • You want to become expert at using AI to run account management better than a normal human memory-and-notes process can.
  • You want to be the person clients trust, enjoy speaking to, and ask for when something is messy or important.
  • You like roles where the answer is not already written down, but the next sensible step can be found.

This Role Will Not Suit You If

  • You want to be a message-passer between the client and delivery team.
  • You prefer someone else to interpret ambiguity, own context, or decide what needs to happen next.
  • You are uncomfortable pushing back on weak scope or asking clients precise follow-up questions.
  • You want a pure delivery-management role with limited relationship responsibility.
  • You are not interested in becoming genuinely strong with AI tools and workflows, or you only see AI as a way to polish writing rather than improve how account management works.
  • You think client relationship management is mainly being polite, rather than becoming someone clients actively like, trust, and want in the room.
  • You need every workflow, owner, and decision path to be perfectly defined before you can move.

What It’s Like To Work Here

  • Remote-first team with international colleagues and globally recognised entertainment clients.
  • Modern hardware, collaboration tools, AI-enabled workflows, and room to improve how work happens.
  • Fast-moving culture where thoughtful ideas from people close to the work are valued.

Recruitment process

  • Online video interview with short recorded answers to role-relevant questions
  • First interview with the hiring manager.
  • Follow-up technical exercise, compensated and designed to test skills relevant to this position.
  • Final interview and exercise review with the hiring manager and COO.
