Who We Are

About the Role

We're looking for a Video Editor with a strong portfolio, sharp storytelling instincts and an eye for detail. You'll turn TV and entertainment footage into engaging social content, using your judgement on pacing, sound, motion and format to make every edit work for its audience.

You'll learn what we make and the standard it needs to meet: character supercuts, compelling short-form edits and polished motion graphics. You'll work closely with our production team to deliver strong work, respond to feedback and keep projects moving.

AI is part of how we improve production. We want someone who understands how it can support tasks such as searching source footage, transcription, captioning, audio clean-up and versioning, and has explored some of these uses in practice. You can explain what helped, what needed correcting and when your own editorial judgement was the better guide. You'll build on that understanding using Storm's stack of AI and creative tools, with responsibility for the quality of everything you deliver.

About Storm Ideas

At Storm Ideas, we supercharge the digital presence of some of the biggest names in US TV and entertainment. Since 2008, our international team has delivered creative and technical solutions for globally recognised clients.

We build products, produce social content and develop better ways for our teams and partners to work. Creativity, technology and collaboration shape what we do.

What You’ll Make Happen

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality short- and long-form video, tailored to the brief, brand, audience and platform.
  • Design new motion graphics or work with existing packages, bringing creative ideas that strengthen the finished edit.
  • Understand the brief and source material thoroughly, and ask for clarification when something is missing or unclear.
  • Check your work before review, including pacing, audio, captions, on-screen text, accessibility, export settings and anything produced or changed with AI.
  • Use AI where it improves quality, speed or consistency, while protecting confidential material, rights and brand standards.
  • Apply feedback carefully, manage your time against deadlines and changing priorities, and flag blockers early with clear context and practical options.
  • Keep project files, versions and handovers organised so another team member can pick up the work easily.
  • Keep developing your editing skills and understanding of production technology. Test useful improvements and share effective techniques, reusable prompts or workflows with the team.

YOUR EXPERTISE

  • A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating editing craft, storytelling, pacing and an understanding of social content. Personal projects and fan edits count too.
  • Confident use of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of encoding, export specifications and optimisation for social platforms.
  • A fundamental understanding of AI in production workflows, supported by examples of tools or features you've tried and what you learned from using them.
  • The ability to critically review AI output, spot errors and explain where a tool adds value.
  • A strong eye for detail, reliable delivery under deadlines, and the judgement to balance polish with the time available.
  • Clear communication, openness to feedback and the initiative to investigate problems and keep improving your work.
  • Based in LATAM and available to work 9:00am–5:30pm Pacific Time (PT).

Remote Working

This role is fully remote within LATAM, with a regular 9:00am–5:30pm Pacific Time schedule. Your local working hours may change when Pacific Time moves between standard and daylight saving time.

Recruitment process

  • Apply with your CV and portfolio or showreel. If shortlisted, you'll meet members of our production leadership or recruitment team to discuss your experience, approach and the role.
  • You'll complete a practical editing task. We'll ask you to explain your creative choices and show your working, including how you used AI and checked its output. We'll consider the finished edit, your process, reliability and communication.
  • The final stage is an interview with a senior member of the team.

Not sure you tick every box? Apply anyway if this sounds like how you already work. We're more interested in your craft, your judgment, and how you work with AI than in a perfect traditional CV.
